The sci-fi series "Black Mirror" is getting a seventh season!

The cult sci-fi series, created by Charlie Brooker, returned to the small screen earlier this year after a four-year hiatus, achieving record ratings on Netflix. According to the streaming giant, "Black Mirror" reached the Top 10 in 92 countries and spent 4 weeks in Netflix's global Top 10.

Casting for Season 7 has yet to be confirmed, but our sources shared the information that the series is set to go into production later this year. It is assumed that Brooker, Annabel Jones, and Jessica Rhoades will also return as executive producers. Plot details and the number of episodes are still being kept under wraps.

Season six, which consisted of five episodes, had a list of great stars including Salma Hayek, Annie Murphy, Aaron Paul, Josh Hartnett, and Paap Essiedu. "Black Mirror", like many other dystopian series, is often predicted to have the most depressing future. 

Although the obsession with modern technology is still there to a certain extent, Brooker has changed his focus and deals more with topics that burden modern man than with technology that we have let into our lives without too many questions.

The show's sixth season opened with an episode about a streaming service called Streamberry that co-opted people's lives using everything to turn them into shows for its platform. Brooker told foreign media that the episode was written before ChatGPT became global news.
