The SteelSeries Aerox 2022 are updated

SteelSeries surprises us once again with a complete upgrade of the rest of its family of light gaming mice and the release of the SteelSeries Aerox 5 and SteelSeries Aerox 9, both of which include a second option, after the update of its minor model at the end of last year.

Featuring wireless connectivity for both models and enhanced performance in all of them to retain high-level speed and precision.

Starting with the intermediate model, the SteelSeries Aerox 5 (2022) has an overall design that is quite similar to the Aerox 3, with a honeycomb perforated case that reduces the device's overall weight to 66 grams.

This mouse is specifically developed to deliver a fast and effortless gaming experience, with 100 percent virgin grade PTFE sliders and a super smooth mesh cable that provides minimal resistance and flexibility of movement. (This is improved even more in the wireless version).

So, behind this shell, we may find next-generation Golden Micro switches rated for 80 million clicks (three times the endurance of another gaming mouse), nine customizable buttons, an 8,500 DPI TrueMove Core optical sensor, and three independent zones with RGB lighting. Furthermore, its entire surface is coated with an AquaBarrier finish, which has an IP54 water resistance certification.

In terms of the SteelSeries Aerox 5 Wireless, we'll find a nearly comparable mouse that, despite removing its cable, gains 74 grams in weight.

And it is that this mouse will have a battery capable of providing us with up to 180 hours of autonomy on a single charge, as well as a quick charging technology that will allow us to acquire around 40 hours of use after only 15 minutes connected.

The SteelSeries Aerox 9, for its part, is presented in a completely wireless version, with other upgrades such as the inclusion of a total of 12 customizable buttons, positioning itself as a particularly attractive alternative for MMO and MOBA players.

The rest of the features will remain the same as the rest of the family, including Golden Microswitches, a TrueMove Core optical sensor, and a range of 180 hours, with the only difference being a weight increase to 89 grams.
