These drinks will wake you up in a moment!

All of us like sometimes to drink coffee but, coffee often has unwanted side effects such as digestive problems, heart palpitations, high blood pressure, anxiety, and insomnia. Excessive drinking of coffee leads to a caffeine crash - a kind of vicious cycle in which a temporary increase in energy is followed by a headache and nervousness.

On the other hand, there are a number of delicious substitutes for coffee that provide a feeling of vigor and alertness, similar to that after drinking coffee, but without side effects.

1. The most valued traditional alternative to coffee is a drink made from ground chicory root, a medicinal plant that cleanses and strengthens the body, and at the same time has a particularly beneficial effect on the digestive system and bladder. Chicory has a taste similar to coffee but does not contain caffeine. Traditional caffeine-free alternatives are also those based on fried grains such as barley, oats and rye, which are often enriched with chicory. The so-called cereal coffee is also offered in gluten-free versions.

2. Raw cocoa powder, rich in antioxidants, minerals and amino acids important for the normal functioning of the body and mental clarity, is recommended as a substitute for coffee .

3. Maca root powder, an ancient South American super plant for endurance and vitality, is increasingly being used instead of coffee. Maca is considered a unique bomb of vitamin C and a wide variety of minerals, proteins and amino acids. As a substitute for coffee, it is used a popular mixture called macacino, in which maca is enriched with cocoa and natural sugar like that of coconut. Although maca is highly praised, it should not be overdone - it is enough to put a small amount of powder in water, juice or smoothie, following the manufacturer's instructions.

4. Smaller doses are also sufficient in the application of guarana berry powder, another South American plant with cult status as an organism lifter. It contains the active ingredient guaranine, which is almost identical to caffeine, but is absorbed much more slowly into the bloodstream, so it provides a longer and more uniform feeling of elevation.

5. As a substitute for coffee, high-quality green tea is often recommended, which does contain caffeine, but in a much smaller amount than coffee. An additional plus is that the caffeine from green tea is easier to break down in the body, and it acts more persistently than caffeine from coffee.

6. Teas made from ginger, mint, and dandelion root, which can otherwise be ground and prepared like coffee, have a stimulating effect, and they are without caffeine. In addition to giving those drinks a feeling of freshness and clarity, they are beneficial for digestion and immunity.
