They didn't want to be a part of GAME OF THRONES!
Believe it or not, these actors rejected roles in the series "GAME OF THRONES".
Three men dressed completely in black sit calmly on their horses, waiting for the huge grate in front of them to rise and open their way to the unknown, the land of eternal snow and ice. And, as the snowflakes slowly fall, and the torches in their hands play restlessly in the wind, they gaze in silence into the dark tunnel beneath the Ice Wall. Their job, we will find out later, is to guard the 200-meter-high and about 500-kilometer-long Wall, which defends the Seven Kingdoms of Westeros from the Wildlings. Those three members of the Night's Watch, the brotherhood that guards the wall, are the first sight of the "Game of Thrones" series that the world saw in 2011 when the first episode aired.
The television adaptation of George RR Martin's novel, "Game of Thrones", is definitely one of the best series of the last few years. With its addictive plot and incredible production, it conquered the world in eight seasons, and although it stars many famous actors and actresses, many made their way precisely thanks to their roles in this series. However, not everyone had a good feeling, so there are also those who refused roles for various reasons.
Charlie Hunnam – Daenerys Targaryen
The Brit was reportedly the fan and production favorite for the role of Daenerys Targaryen in season seven. But the Sons of Anarchy star refused.
"They offered me a secondary role, but then I was filming something else, so I couldn't accept it. But maybe in the future, who knows?" said Hunnam, who apparently does not know that the last season has been filmed and is expected to be on small screens next year.
Julien Anderson – Cersei Lannister
The brilliant Julien would make an excellent Cersei, but her problem was the long absence from her family. "I have a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old, and I just can't afford to be away from home that much, unless I'm working with Martin Scorsese," Anderson said.
Her 18-year-old daughter was in complete shock when she informed her that she could have been Cersei in her favorite series.
Dominic West – Mance Ryder
Months of filming in the freezing cold sound awful, but Dominic West also missed a great role. He didn't want to reveal why he turned down the role of Mance Ryder, but we know for sure that he regretted it.
" I didn't even watch it, but my brother and nephew said that 'Game of Thrones' was the only good show that was shown and then I felt terrible," said West.
Lily Allen – Yara Greyjoy
If you know how the story develops between Yara and her brother Theon Greyjoy, you understand why singer Lily Allen turned down the role. Namely, Theon is played by her real-life brother, Alfie Allen.
"They offered me to play Theon's sister, but I was shocked when I heard how some scenes would look like, so I quickly thanked them," said the singer.
Brian Cox
The legendary British actor received an offer at the very beginning, so he doesn't even know what role they intended for him, but he didn't agree because his payments were low.
"Stupid of me, but I turned them down in early pre-production because they didn't have enough money. Now they have money. It was really silly because now I'm a huge fan of the show, but I have no idea who I could play," Cox said.
Sometimes is better to think twice before rejecting something, and these actors are a real example of that.
