Legendary actor Patrick Stewart proudly walked and posed on the red carpet at the 73rd Emmy Awards in Los Angeles in the company of his 39-years younger wife Sunny Ozell.
81-year-old Patrick chose an elegant dark blue tuxedo with a bow tie for the occasion, and 42-year-old Sunny shone with a lavender-colored dress under which she was not wearing a bra.
The couple has been married since Sept. 7, 2013, and were married by Patrick’s friend and colleague Ian McKellen. They currently live in New York City and have no children, and they met eight years ago when Patrick was working on the play “Macbeth,” and Sunny was working as a waitress at a nearby New York coffee shop at the time.
Their wedding attracted extra attention and Patrick had hoped the act would remain a secret, but Ian accidentally revealed the news during a performance on The Jonathan Ross Show. And it was all actually Sunny's idea.
"There was only one choice. It was Sunny's idea and it was a great idea, I was glad I could agree to something like that without thinking. He might regret it for life but without any hesitation, we were honored," Patrick said. in an interview with Grub Street.
In an interview with Female First a few years ago, Sunny admitted that she can't get used to media attention and life under the spotlight, which certainly contributed to the big difference between their ages.
"When the time comes that we have to go to some posh places like an Emmy or BAFTA awards, I still feel like that girl from Reno in the hands of a gentleman like Patrick Stewart. And honestly, I hope to feel that way forever," she admitted. is Sunny.
By the way, 78-year-old Patrick is only five years older than her father. In an interview with the Daily Mail, he admitted that he was not overjoyed about it but later accepted the idea of addressing him as his son-in-law.
"He's full of youth, and I'm kind of an old soul, so we get along well and complement each other. He's in better shape than me, which sometimes makes me angry," joked Patrick, who still doesn't hide how much he's in love with his Sunny.
