Ubisoft new game called Project Q

A recent leak revealed a new video of Project Q, a Ubisoft game that is currently in production. The French publisher then opted to make the game official without further ado. Project Q is a hybrid of a PvP shooter and a brawler.

An Nvidia GeForce Now database leaked to the public late last year, revealing a flood of undisclosed games. More information on one of Ubisoft's entries on this list, Project Q, has just emerged. This spurred Ubisoft to make an official announcement about the game.

Project Q is a PvP combat arena game with a low player count battle royale mode on a small map, as well as a more typical objective capture mode, according to Exputer. Early Project Q gameplay footage was also included in Exputer's report.

Despite the presence of projectile weapons in the gameplay footage, it did not appear to be a shooter. The demo player could select from a variety of things, each with its own set of abilities ("Icarus Wings" for a high jump and hover, or "Wukong Staff" for martial arts chain combos). Furthermore, during the brief battles, players could freely swap between ranged strikes and melee combos.

An official announcement from Project Q

In reaction to this latest leak, Ubisoft has now officially unveiled the game, but it is still known as "Project Q." At the same time, Ubisoft announced that registration for public playtests would open at a later date. The release from Ubisoft also stressed that the game is still in its early stages of development.

The game, which costs slightly more than $30, allows you to "relive the legendary collected adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog, Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Sonic 3 & Knuckles, and Sonic CD in the newly restored Sonic Origins."

To commemorate the franchise's 30th anniversary, all four games have been upgraded to a higher resolution with widescreen support, as well as "all-new opening and ending animations for each title!" In addition, the game will include a museum where players may access new content, challenges, and Special Stages.
