Unpredictable love life of Uma Thurman!
She caught her ex in an affair with a nanny with whom he still enjoys a happy marriage!
The star of the cult film 'Pulp Fiction' Uma Thurman is celebrating her 52nd birthday today. She has two failed marriages with actors Gary Oldman and Ethan Hawke. The latter turned into a scandal when it was revealed that Hawke cheated on her with a nanny they hired to look after their children. He first vehemently denied being guilty of adultery, but in 2008, three years after his divorce from Thurman, Hawke married a nanny, and they are still married today.
And ten years before Hawke, Thurman was married to 12-year-older Gary Oldman. They married in 1990 when she was 18, and they divorced two years later. The actor never talked about their marriage, and in 2014, Thurman spoke for the first and last time and called the 'a mistake marriage'.Today, she is in a relationship with the executive director of the Bloomberg media group, Justin Smith.
As a little girl, she was told that ‘nature conspired against her’ because she was very tall and in school, she was always taller than the other children. Even her long nose attracted attention and one of her mother's friends suggested rhinoplasty to ten-year-old Uma. To make matters worse, the family was constantly moving, making the withdrawn Umu forever a ‘new kid’ in the class. The famous actress, therefore, grew up lonely. After all, she never even finished high school.
She is a close friend of director Quentin Tarantino, who calls her his muse, and their friendship almost ended after an accident on the set of Kill Bill: Vol. 2 2004. Tarantino persuaded her to perform the acrobatics herself with a car that went wrong, causing neck and knee injuries. The production company Miramax denied all evidence of the accident until Thurman agreed to sign a disclaimer, relieving them and Tarantino of any responsibility. Despite Tarantino’s copious apologies, the friendship was on thin ice, until 10 years later they finally buried the hatchet.
Thurman only reported on the incident in 2018, after Tarantino finally gave her access to footage of the crash, and Tarantino repeatedly said he was sorry he even asked her to perform acrobatics, especially since the footage never made it into the film.
