What Kate Hudson eats to stay in shape
As Kate says, the secret lies in the perfect balance of healthy foods, exercise, and motivation that keeps her active.
Famous American actress Kate Hudson, after a fantastic career in the world of acting, decided to try her hand at creative writing and in 2016 presented the book Pretty Happy, which reveals a specific way of life, diet, fashion, and style. Kate, in addition to her fantastic acting talent, is known as a lady who takes care of her health and body, and we have always been interested in how she achieves that. As Kate says, the secret lies in the perfect balance of healthy foods, exercise, and motivation that keeps her active. Here is what else Kate revealed to us...
As much as people think that the morning meal is the most important during the day, Kate finds it the hardest. "I'm not one of those people who wakes up hungry," the actress said, adding: "That's when I realize that when I eat breakfast, I eat less during the day or in the evening."
In most cases, Kate wakes up in the morning with a cup of coffee and green juice. After a workout that is mostly based on cycling, Pilates, or the famous Tracy Anderson exercise program, Kate is sure to drink a protein shake that replaces breakfast.

Kate's diet is alkaline, so it is based on the intake of healthy foods such as tofu cheese, nuts, fruits, and vegetables, and the avoidance of acidic foods. "Our bodies are one big chemical experiment," says Kate. This diet limits the intake of sugar and gluten while eliminating the consumption of meat and dairy products.
After the protein shake that Kate drinks after the morning set of exercises, the actress usually has some kind of salad for lunch and one afternoon snack, before dinner. Kate's diet is based on five smaller meals a day, in which plant foods are the most common. "I don't remember the last time I ate meat," Kate added.
However, that does not mean that she adheres to a properly regulated diet all the time... “If I want to go out and eat in a restaurant where they prepare fantastic food, I will certainly do it at least once a week. I want to indulge and sometimes do things that may not be overly healthy," she concluded. Her favorite treats she can't resist are Hawaiian pizza and macaroni and cheese (gluten-free).
