Why is the comedy "Mean Girls" the best from this movie genre?
The 2004 comedy "Mean Girls" represents the masterfully done work of director Mark Waters and screenwriter Tina Faye in the last few years as far as this genre of film is concerned.
A well-written script shows the "terrible" problems that 16-year-old high school students face during their growing up. The greatest credit, according to many viewers, went to screenwriter Tina Fey, who managed to extract all its specifics from this genre, in order to give a very witty and sarcastic image of high school students who struggle with current social problems, but also their own.

School violence experienced by teenagers who are not part of popular high school groups, the "flawless" physical appearance of girls and boys shaped by fashion trends in the 2000s, as well as the discovery of their sexuality, all these details of the younger part of society are shown through effective humor leading to an extreme conclusion, and that is that we are all on the ladder of life, to some extent, equal.

The plot of the film is shown from the perspective of two main characters - Cady Heron and Regina Joyce. Cady Heron (Lindsay Lohan), the protagonist of the film, is the embodiment of moral values and ethical attitudes in every life dilemma. She also stands firmly behind the opinion that no one is infallible and that everyone should get a second chance.

On the other hand, the wicked Regina Joyce (Rachel McAdams) is a master of intrigue that girls who are not part of popular high school groups go through. The character played by actress McAdams is not an ordinary high school bully. She is manipulative and malicious, she uses all her resources, including friends, to achieve the set goals.

The comedy has won as many as seven awards and several nominations and is considered one of the best comedies among the young film audience.
