Will Smith admitted that he 'fell in love' with Stockard Channing during his first marriage

In 1993, Smith had a son, Trey, with Sheree Zampino. Although his feelings for Stockard Channing grew, their relationship remained purely professional.

"Sheree and I were in the first few months of our marriage with a brand-new baby and for Sheree, I can imagine that this experience was unsettling to say the least," Will Smith wrote, adding "She'd married a guy named Will Smith and now she was living with a guy named Paul Poitier. And to make matters worse, during shooting I fell in love with Stockard Channing."

"After the film wrapped, Sheree and Trey and I moved back to L.A," the actor and singer continues. "Our marriage was off to a rocky start. I found myself desperately yearning to see and speak to Stockard."

"When it comes to the film 'Six Degrees of Separation', I discovered early on how dangerous it is to indulge in a character too much. The acting has grown into something more," he said in an interview with Esquire magazine.

In his memoirs, he revealed numerous details from his life. He looked back on the difficult childhood, divorce from Sheree, marriage to Jada Pinkett Smith, and his children Trey, Jaden, and Willow.
