After her husband's affair, the 'saddest woman in the world' finally spoke out: It was extremely difficult for me
The wife of Prince Albert of Monaco, Princess Charlene, after a long absence from the public, decided to speak for the South African Channel 24, about why she was absent for a long time.
Former Olympic swimmer Princess Charlene of Monaco (43) has worried many with her non-appearance in public. Some have speculated that she was depressed after the deaths of King Zulu Goodwill Zwelithini and Queen Mantfombi Dlamini. There were also stories of her husband Prince Albert of Monaco (63) holding her hostage.
Charlene admitted to South African Channel 24 that the reason for her absence was a severe ear, throat, and nose infection that prevented her from returning to Monaco from her native South Africa. What struck her the most was that she missed meeting her husband on the occasion of their tenth wedding anniversary.
'I miss my husband and children very much. What was extremely difficult for me was when the medical team told me I couldn’t go home for my 10th wedding anniversary. Albert is my strength and without his love and support, I would not have been able to get through this painful time. My daily conversations with Albert and the kids helped me immensely lift my spirits, but I miss being with them. I can't wait to reunite with them,' the princess told them.
Charlene recently posted a video on her Instagram profile congratulating her husband on their 10th wedding anniversary. The minute-long video incorporates all their important moments. "Happy anniversary Albert. Thank you for blessing me with our wonderful children ", she wrote in the post and added a heart emoticon.
Let’s recall, Albert’s wife was given the title of saddest princess because she rarely laughed in public and her eyes always looked like she was going to cry at any moment. Many found the reason for her behavior in the numerous scandals that Albert of Monaco had and the princess reportedly feared that his seductive spirit would not calm down in marriage and so she wanted to run away.
The princess surprised the public in January with a new image that many consider her reaction to a new court summons to her husband to establish paternity. Charlene decided to shave part of her head and showed off her new punk hairstyle after new accusations that a Brazilian woman in 2005 got pregnant with the Prince of Monaco.
