An epic clash between the creator of 'Seinfeld' and a famous lawyer: They shouted at each other, and then Dershowitz took off his T-shirt ...

In the picturesque Chilmark General Store in Chilmark on the favorite island of the elite, Martha's Vineyard in the US state of Massachusetts, a scene took place that is irresistibly reminiscent of the scenes that can be seen in the series "Seinfeld" and "Curb your enthusiasm".

Why those two? Namely, the journalists of the Page Six tabloid of the New York Post wrote that in the mentioned store a clash occurred between the famous law professor, American lawyer Alan Dershowitz, a defender of many controversial personalities such as athlete OJ Simpson, financier Jeffrey Epstein, film producer Harvey Weinstein, and former American President Donald Trump, and screenwriter and actor Larry David, co-creator of the "Seinfeld" and creator of the "Curb your Enthusiasm".

Their verbal confrontation looked like this:

"We can still talk, Larry," Dershowitz said.

- No. We can not. I saw you. I saw you with your hand around (former US Secretary of State Mike ) Pompeo! That's disgusting! said, David.

- He's my ex-student. So I greet all my former students. I can't greet former students? - Dershowitz tried to explain.

- That's disgusting! Your whole enclave is disgusting. You are disgusting! David replied.

A New York Post source says that he transcribed the mentioned quarrel, which he witnessed, to remember who said what. He added that David then walked away from Dershowitz, who took off his T-shirt after a quarrel with David and revealed that he was wearing another one underneath it that read, "Fool, that's the Constitution!"

The New York Post writes that they were informed that Dershowitz had left the store in an "old and dirty Volvo."

They broke off their friendship because of Trump

Dershowitz confirmed to the New York Post that he had an argument with David and said that he and the screenwriter were once friends, but that they stopped being friends when the lawyer started working with Trump.

Dershowitz added that he helped one of David's daughters enroll in the desired college and that he once represented him in court for free.

The lawyer said that he greeted David when he saw him in the store and that the actor walked away from him at that moment. Dershowitz says he then told him “We can still talk” after which the said quarrel occurred.

The lawyer says the scene in the store, although it seems ridiculous at first glance, was not humorous at all.

Dershowitz said David yelled at him and his face flushed with rage. "I was worried he was going to have a stroke," the lawyer said.

He appreciates Pompeo's work

Dershowitz added that he warmly welcomed Mike Pompeo because he appreciates his work in the Middle East, not because he supports Trump. The lawyer also said that he cooperated with Pompeo in creating aspects of American foreign policy towards Israel and Palestine. He was invited to the White House to a celebration organized on that occasion.

- While he was writing bad jokes, I helped bring peace to the Middle East. What did he do? said, Dershowitz.

- Larry is a first-rate radical. He gets his political opinions from Hollywood. He doesn't read much. He doesn't think much. What happened to us is typical of the current situation on Martha’s Vineyard. People will not talk if they do not agree on politics - Dershowitz added.

The lawyer stated that he lost more friends after cooperating with Trump. - That is the price of the principle - the lawyer stated and added that defending the former American president because he defended the Constitution of the United States of America.

The T-shirt situation

Dershowitz said that's why he took off one T-shirt to highlight another T-shirt that said, "Fool, that's the Constitution!"

"My wife bought me that T-shirt because people misunderstood my defense of Trump," Dershowitz explained, adding that he wore two T-shirts because he planned to meet a friend that day and jokingly give him the first T-shirt as a gift.

"I'm a Liberal Democrat and I voted for Biden probably with the same enthusiasm as Larry," the lawyer said.

- What (Larry) is doing is modern McCarthyism. Joseph McCarthy would be proud of him, Dershowitz added.

The famous lawyer said that he was offering David a hand of friendship, but that he would not compete with him in shouting.

"If he's going to scream, he's going to have to do it himself," Dershowitz concluded.

David has not yet commented on the meeting at the Chilmark General Store.
