The only thing you have to do is search for the closest library, put in your card information and the thousands of both audiobooks and e-books are yours for no charge at all! The downside is that you may have to wait for certain books, but OverDrive provides you with the information on how long is the waitlist. You can also rent audio and e-books for up to three weeks.

Hoopla is very similar to OverDrive and its user is the "public library patron." Hoopla developed a partnership with libraries all over U.S. and Canada and next to audiobooks, Hoopla also offers music, movies, e-books, and TV shows. You just need your library card to sign up and in an instant, their whole content becomes available to you. The app can be used by both Apple and Android users, and while OverDrive partners whit public and for example university libraries, Hoopla focuses on public libraries only.
