True, in our climate it is not often found in raw form, but that is why coconut derivatives are very present on our market.
Coconut is a food very rich in proteins, but also it has a high content of potassium, phosphorus, manganese, vitamin C, iron, zinc and selenium, which is important for the proper functioning of the thyroid gland. Also, coconut is rich in plant fibers, which contribute to gastrointestinal health and digestion.

Coconut milk has a really impressive composition of micronutrients. It is rich in iron, magnesium, copper, potassium, selenium, zinc, folic acid and vitamin C. In addition, it also contains vitamin E, vitamin K and group B vitamins in smaller quantities. Coconut milk has a very beneficial effect on conditions such as dehydration, prevents constipation, diarrhea and irritable bowel syndrome, helps with fatigue, cramps, muscle pain, but also in the prevention of heart muscle disease because it contains a high level of electrolytes that are important in the prevention of myocardial infarction. It is rich in iron, so it has a favorable effect on anemia. Also, the lauric acid contained in coconut milk prevents the development of infections and reduces the number of viruses and bacteria in the body.
Coconut oil is one of the healthiest in the world. It is made from the dry part of the coconut - meat and is considered a superfood! The secret to this superfood is medium-chain fatty acids (MCFAs) which include caprylic acid, lauric acid and capric acid. An incredible 91 percent of coconuts are healthy fats that our body digests extremely quickly (ten times faster than all other fats) and converts them into energy. Some of the scientifically proven medicinal properties of coconut oil are in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease, in the prevention of diseases of the heart and blood vessels, diseases of the urinary tract, kidneys and liver, in the prevention of various forms of cancer, in the fight against inflammatory processes in the body, in the improvement of brain functions, in ulcerative colitis, as well as diseases of the pancreas and indigestion. Also, it has proven to be very effective and beneficial in various skin diseases, including dermatitis.
