Exciting life story of Mike Tyson

Former world heavyweight champion Mike Tyson is celebrating his 56th birthday today, and he has a successful boxing career behind him, several scandals and a great tragedy. Mike experienced the worst pain. He lost his four-year-old daughter Exodus on May 26, 2009. She died of accidental suffocation and she was found by then-seven-year-old Mike’s son Miguel on a treadmill at their home in Phoenix.

He called her mother who provided first aid to Exodus and then an ambulance and she was taken to the hospital where she was placed on life support devices but unfortunately, she was not rescued. A police spokesman said Tyson's daughter was suffocated by a power cord hanging from a console on a switched-off running device. Tyson once said in an emotional interview that at that time he was ready for anything, including taking a gun and going crazy. He was on the emotional edge and Myke admitted that he spent weeks after her death under the influence of drugs because he could not face the loss.

Mike, whose fortune is estimated at three million dollars, has been married three times, and his first wife was actress Robin Givens, 57, with whom he was officially married for a year. In a 1989 interview, Robin revealed that Tyson was abusing her and that she was afraid of him. She left the boxer after three months and stated that their marriage was ‘torture, pure hell, worse than anything she can imagine’.

A few years after a shocking confession, in 1992, Tyson was convicted of raping 18-year-old Desiree Washington in a hotel room in Indianapolis. He received six years in prison but he served only three. Until this day, he claims to be innocent. After his release from prison, Mike returned to the boxing ring, and his shocking fight on June 28, 1997, with Evander Holyfield, is still remembered. Namely, Tyson bit off a piece of his opponent's ear and then he was disqualified, suspended and had to pay a fine.

The retired boxer didn't calm down in recent years either, so in April a video leaked showing him hitting a passenger on a plane. In the video, Mike stands and hits the man while another passenger tries to stop him.

By the way, Tyson’s father left him while he was going to primary school, leaving his mother alone with three children. His life changed fundamentally when he lost his mother at the age of 16 and soon after that big loss he lost his sister.

‘I’ve never seen a mother happy for me and for the things I do. She only knew me as a wild child running through the streets and coming home with new clothes she knew I hadn’t paid for. I never had a chance to talk to her and meet her. Professionally, it didn’t affect me. But it broke me personally and emotionally ',  said the boxer.

At the age of 13, he was already arrested 38 times for petty crimes. He had to choose what to do with his life and he chose boxing. Much is known about Mike’s life, and he shocked ESPN reporter Jeremy Schaap when he admitted to him that he had been raped as a teenager.
