Five great movies filmed in Italy

Summer has arrived, and the sunny season is always a good reason to get dressed as if we were going on a tour of the Italian coast (by boat!). Here are 5 movies that will transport you to the Italian coast immediately.

Roman Holiday (1953)
"Roman Holiday" is a typical Italian summer film. Starring Audrey Hepburn as a princess who wants to live normally at least for one day and Gregory Peck as a journalist who becomes her guide. The film follows this duo as they travel through Rome and fall in love. Iconic costume designer Edith Head is behind many stunning looks of the actors - from gorgeous dresses to elegant A-line skirts, this film is perfect if you want to achieve chic summer styling from the 50s.

Stealing Beauty (1996)
"Stealing Beauty" follows Lucy Harmon (Liv Tyler) as she returns to a Tuscan town where her mother once lived and conquered the male population. The young actress explores love and intimacy while enchanting many men in a similar way.

The Talented Mr. Ripley (1999)
'' The Talented Mr. Ripley '' is a great movie to watch if you are planning a mental (or physical) trip to the Italian coast. Gwyneth Paltrow, Jude Law, and Matt Damon appear in airy linen, bright patterns, and a perfect tan. The trio embodies a carefree way of coastal life - but only until the end of the film.

A Bigger Splash (2015)
Luca Guadagnino's "A Bigger Splash" is named after David Hockney's famous 1967 film and is based on Jacques Deray's 1970's "La Piscine". The film is a psychological drama starring Tilda Swinton, Dakota Johnson, Ralph Fiennes, and Matthias Schoenaerts. It takes place on the small Italian island of Pantelleria and features many irresistible hats, knitted bags, and funky designs that evoke the perfect Italian summer look.

Call Me By Your Name (2017)
"Call Me By Your Name" is still one of the most popular films of the 21st century. With Timothee Chalamet and Armie Hammer in the lead roles, the film follows a passionate summer romance set in the rolling hills of northern Italy.
