Netflix plans Squid Game reality show

Netflix is preparing a reality show based on the most popular series on that platform "Squid Game" and invites all those interested to join the race for the prize of 4.56 million dollars.

The game called "Squid Game: The Challenge", of course, won’t be for life and death, as is the case in the South Korean dystopian drama that conquered the planet. Instead, the worst punishment for a total of 456 selected contestants from around the world is to go home empty-handed. Applicants cannot be under the age of 21, they must speak English and be available for filming for four weeks in early 2023. "While players compete in a series of games inspired by the original series, their strategies, alliances, and character will be put to the test," reads the description of this reality show.

"Squid Game" is the most-watched series in the history of that platform, which spent the whole last fall on the list of the ten most-watched programs in many countries of the world. In the series, the characters compete for a prize of 38 million dollars, playing traditional Korean children's games, but the elimination does not mean going home, but death. There have been several attempts in the world to recreate games from this series, albeit in harmless circumstances, but the problem was the popularity of the series among the youngest, who in reality and on social networks embarked on not at all naive challenges inspired by the series. Across Europe and America, educators have warned parents not to allow their children to watch Squid Game.

Netflix told CNN in October that the "Squid Game" series was "the biggest to be launched" for this company. It is the first Korean series of the platform to take first place in the United States. It collected as much as 1.65 billion hours of viewing in 28 days after its release. It took 12 years to revive the first season of "Squid Game". But it took 12 days for "Squid Game" to become the most popular series ever, it was said in the letter.
