Healthy and delicious Kale stew

Kale stew is a great recipe that we like to prepare all year round, especially in the colder months. In addition to being healthy, kale can also be truly delicious when it is prepared in the right way. All you need for kale stew is a small head of kale, a few potatoes, onions, carrots, and some spices. 

Kale stew for stronger immunity

Kale is a rich source of vitamins A and C and it is rich in vitamin K and iron. It is low in calories in itself, which makes kale stew a great meal if you are looking for a healthy meal without too many unnecessary calories. You don't need to make a paste to prepare it, but if you want a thick kale stew and serve it as a side dish to meat, simply heat a little flour with oil and mix it into the kale stew. Of course, this will add some more calories to a healthy stew. 

You can also make kale stew with meat. You can also add a piece of dried meat or sausage to the vegetable recipe for kale stew to make the flavors richer. Simply put a piece of dried meat in the pot at the same time as you add the blanched kale and continue cooking. In addition to dried meat or sausage, you can prepare stuffed or breaded meat with kale stew.

Cabbage stew recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 small head of kale
  • 3 potatoes
  • 1 onion
  • 1 carrot
  • 200 ml of foundation 
  • Red pepper
  • Bay leaf
  • Salt

Preparation:

  1. Finely chop the onion and sauté it in oil.
  2. Meanwhile, peel the potatoes and carrots and chop them into cubes.
  3. Put it in the pot and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  4. Add the stock and cook until the potatoes are half cooked.
  5. Add more water, salt, pepper, red pepper and bay leaf.
  6. Chop the kale into strips and boil in boiling water for about 10 minutes, then strain it.
  7. Stir in the chopped kale and cook until the vegetables are soft.
