Kale or greens - whatever you call this healthy food, we have the best recipe for you! In addition to being delicious, it is an ideal and healthy recipe. You can prepare it with dried meat or with potatoes, without meat. Kale grows well at extremely high and low temperatures, so we can prepare it all year round.

Kale are rich in various vitamins, including vitamins C, A and K. It is useful because it also contains a significant amount of antioxidants, which is why it is great for the general health of the body, and the fibers found in the leaves help maintain optimal digestion. In addition, it is low in calories and rich in beta carotene. That is why during the preparation it should be as heat-treated as possible in order to retain as many useful phytochemicals as possible. It is good to use hot water for the first cooking because this way will keep the nutrients in the leaves. The recipe below is with dried meat, but if you want to prepare without meat, just with potatoes, simply skip the step in which the meat is added.

Ingredients:

  1. 1 bunch of kale
  2. 4 potatoes
  3. 300 g of dried meat
  4. Olive oil
  5. Salt

Preparation:

First, wash the kale well under running water and then stack a few leaves on top of each other. Wrap the leaves in a roll and cut them into strips about 1 cm wide.  Put the strips in a pot, pour hot water over them and cook for five minutes, then strain them well.  Pour water over the dried meat in a special pot and cook for about 10 minutes to release excess salt and strong aromas. You can skip this step if you like a stronger taste of dried meat.  Drain the water in which the meat was cooked and then add new water to the meat and diced potatoes. Cook for about 10 minutes.  Add blanched kale and a little olive oil and salt to the pot. Cook until potatoes are soft. Stew has a delicate taste, so it should not be seasoned with pepper or garlic. Serve it with a glass of fine red wine and enjoy!
