Homemade fried ice cream recipe
Although it sounds too complicated, it's actually not!
In recent years, fried ice cream has become a hit in the world, and many people wonder how this unusual delicacy is made. The trick is to have the ice cream deep-frozen, quickly roll it in the batter for frying, and then drop it into hot oil to get a crispy, nicely baked crust. Although it sounds too complicated, it's actually not, you just need to carefully follow the steps, and if you make them with other family members, great fun is guaranteed.
Ingredients:
- 500 g of vanilla ice cream
- 200 g of corn flakes
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 3 egg whites
- oil for frying
Preparation:
Using a large spoon or a spatula, take out the ice cream balls (about 7 pieces), but make them slightly larger than the standard ones, and arrange them on a plate lined with parchment paper. Put them back in the freezer for an hour. Crush the cornflakes as small as you can, preferably in a blender, then mix them with cinnamon. In a separate bowl, beat the egg whites by hand, so that they become foamy. Roll the balls first in the egg white and then in the flakes, so that they are well coated on all sides. Put them back in the freezer for 3 hours to completely freeze. Heat the oil in a deep pan until it's hot, then fry two balls at a time for a few seconds until they get a golden crust. Take them out on a paper towel to drain excess oil and serve them immediately after preparation. You can decorate them with a little whipped cream or dressing as desired.
