Jagger: Keith Moon burst into my room dressed as Batman, I pulled a knife at him
The Rolling Stones singer Mick Jagger told that the drummer of the band The Who, Keith Moon, broke into his hotel room in the middle of the night, dressed as Batman.
As a guest on Howard Stern's radio show, Mick Jagger recalled how in the seventies in Los Angeles, Keith Moon climbed a fire escape in the middle of the night and burst into his hotel room, NME reports.
"Keith was a complete lunatic. Once, while I was sleeping, he broke into my hotel room in Los Angeles dressed as Batman. I woke up and Batman was standing in front of me, with a mask and everything. It's not something you expect in the middle of the night," said the Stones singer.
He added that he was holding a self-defense knife in the hotel room at the time.
"So I pulled out a knife, and he said, 'Don't, it's me, Keith.' I said, 'You're not Keith (Richards), I can hear it in your voice.' He replied, "No, Keith Moon!", And then he took off his mask," said Jagger laughingly.
Keith Moon died in 1978 from an accidental overdose of alcohol withdrawal pills. He was 31 years old.
