Jeremiah Jerry Harris goes to jail
Jeremiah Jerry Harris was charged with 12 years in prison and he admitted possession of child pornography and intercourse with a minor.
Jeremiah Jerry Harris (22), star of the Netflix series Cheer, was sentenced to 12 years in prison. Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Illinois Joseph D. Fitzpatrick spoke to CNN. 'The sentence is 12 years in prison, followed by 8 years of court supervision after release.'
Harris, an actor in the Netflix documentary 'Cheer', was indicted on seven counts in December 2020. In a plea agreement with the government, Harris pleaded guilty to two counts of that indictment, alleging possession of child pornography and having sexual relations with a minor. As a reminder, the action of the documentary follows a team of fans from Navarro College in Texas, and Harris was one of the students whose stories were at the center of attention.

The second season of the series, which came out last year, dealt with the allegations against Harris and consisted of interviews with two of the accusers.
Recall, American musician R.Kelly, whose real name is Robert Sylvester Kelly, also was sentenced to 30 years in prison for running a chain of prostitution and racketeering, according to world media. In fact, Judge Ann M. Donnelly gave him the specified sentence even though his lawyers asked for 10 years behind bars.
The musician faced accusations for almost three decades, but he always denied them. But when the victims spoke about it on television, the situation was finally taken seriously. As many as nine women and two men admitted sexual violence or humiliation caused by the singer.
Over the years, Kelly was associated with child pornography, sexual relations with minors, and abuse, and there were rumors that he was the leader of a bizarre sex cult. Allegedly, there was also a gruesome video of him abusing a 14-year-old girl and urinating on her while someone was recording the whole thing.
