Johnny Deep sues Amber for defamation

The court drama between Amber Heard (35) and Johnny Depp (58) seems to have no end, and he will involve some more people in his fight. Namely, the actor lost a lawsuit in a London court in November 2020 against the tabloid The Sun, which he sued for defamation because they wrote that he was beating his wife Amber. He was not helped to turn the case in his favor by the tape of his ex-wife saying she hates when he makes her angry and makes her violent.

Depp continues his fight against Heard in U.S. court and he is suing her for defamation. He cited her open letter, which was published in 2018 in the Washington Post, as the reason for the new lawsuit, in which she wrote about the domestic violence she experienced. She did not name Johnny but she accused him of violence when they decided to divorce.

The long-delayed trial is set to begin next month in Virginia, and a list of witnesses has attracted a lot of attention. Both Amber and Johnny plan to testify, and that will happen in less than two weeks. According to Deadline, Heard called as witnesses her ex-boyfriend, the richest man in the world Elon Musk, and actor James Franco whom Depp accused of having an affair with her. Also on her list are Johnny’s former lawyer Jacob Bloom and his ex-girlfriend Ellen Barkin who accused him of post-break-up violence. The couple gathered dozens of witnesses, including many of their associates, and it is not yet known who is on Depp's list.

By the way, many are interested in what Elon will say. He will testify via video link because many remember how he publicly cried for her after the break-up, and it was suspected that she was violent towards him because he appeared with bruises on his face. At one time, information was leaked to the public that Amber slept with Musk and model Cara Delevingne in the apartment where she lived with Depp.

Elon acted as the actress' bodyguard, and some felt he needed protection from her. The couple broke up for the first time in 2017, but in 2018 they gave themselves another chance. However, their relationship quickly broke down again.
