Meghan Markle on the ban of abortion

The United States Supreme Court overturned a 50-year-old ruling that legalized abortion across the country. The public was upset, and many celebrities publicly criticized the decision.

Actress Jodie Sweetin, best known for her role in the series 'Full House', was even protesting against the abortion ban and a police officer pushed her roughly at the protest after which she fell to the floor.

‘I am extremely proud of the hundreds of people who showed up yesterday and took urgent action to peacefully protest the huge injustices brought about by our Supreme Court. Our activism will continue until our voice is heard and action is taken. That will not deter us, we will continue to fight for our rights. We are not free until we are all free, 'she told Fox News Digital. New reactions from celebrities are constantly arriving, so after Michelle Obama, Taylor Swift, Elizabeth Banks, Ume Thurman and many others, Meghan Markle came forward and revealed her and Harry's opinion on this controversial topic.

Meghan talked about the ban on abortion with well-known journalist Gloria Stein, and the interview was published in Vogue magazine.

‘ This will have a big impact on women’s bodies and their lives from the start. Women are already talking about how their physical security is in danger. Women who have the resources will travel to have an abortion, and those who do not will be in a very risky situation. Some will procure abortion pills from unregulated pharmacies. Others, who are pregnant and find themselves in medical danger, will be at the mercy of doctors and lawyers who will decide whether a procedure that could save their lives will be carried out at all. What does that say to women? It tells us that our physical security is not important and therefore that we are not important. But we are important. Women matter' said Meghan.

Meghan pointed out that it is important for men to get involved in the fight for reproductive rights.' It's about women's security, but also about economic justice, the autonomy of the individual, and who we are as a society. No one should be forced to make a decision they do not want to make. Honestly, whether it’s a woman who finds herself in an unimaginable situation, a woman who isn’t ready to start a family, or a couple who has the right to plan a family in the way that suits them best, it’s about the right to choose. It is interesting to talk about two women: the one who will gladly choose to give birth and the one who will not. And both will progress because they are able to make their own decision, ' she concluded.
