Metallica released the new song 'Screaming Suicide'

Metallica has unveiled the song “Screaming Suicide”. This song is the second single from their upcoming album “72 Seasons”, which will be released on April 14th. "Screaming Suicide" follows lead single "Lux Æterna," which the band released in late November following the announcement of "72 Seasons".

Frontman James Hetfield says that the new song: 'Screaming Suicide' deals with the taboo word of suicide. The intention is to open and communicate about the darkness we feel inside. It is ridiculous to think that we should deny that we have such thoughts. We believe that most people have thought about it at one point in their lives. To face it is to speak the unspoken. If it's a human experience, we should be able to talk about it. "You are not alone." is the message this song sent.

Metallica is following the upcoming release of “72 Seasons” with the 2023-2024 M72 World Tour, playing two unique sets over two nights in each city with support from Pantera, Mammoth WVH, Five Finger Death Punch and more.
