Moonfall - a film about total catastrophe about the fall of the Moon to Earth
You almost always know what to expect from a Roland Emmerich film: namely, the fact that with it a good part of the planet will be destroyed.
You almost always know what to expect from a Roland Emmerich film: namely, the fact that with it a good part of the planet will be destroyed. The director of films like 2012 and The Day After Tomorrow now brings this to its logical extreme with the film Moonfall. A film about the falling moon….
According to the synopsis, the action of the film takes place at a time when "a mysterious force throws the Moon out of orbit around the Earth and sends it into collision with life as we know it."
It stars Halle Berry as the executive director of NASA who seems to know how to stop it, but the only people who trust her are former astronaut (Patrick Wilson) and conspiracy theorist (John Bradley). "These incredible heroes will embark on an impossible last mission into space, leaving behind all they love, only to discover that our Moon is not what we think it is."
Indeed, Moonfall sounds like something that would have happened if you had crushed a Hollywood disaster movie with Destiny lore - that is to say, it sounds like something very fun and tense. It is expected to hit theaters on February 4, 2022.
