Paul McCartney announced the "Got back" tour: I said I would be back!

Sir Paul McCartney plans an American concert tour with 14 performances this spring, which will start in the northwestern United States on April 28. Paul, the former member of the legendary Beatles announced that this is going to be the first series of live performances after the 2019 tour.

The "Got Back" tour will begin on April 28 in Spokane, Washington, followed by consecutive concerts at the Climate Pledge Arena in Seattle on May 2 and 3. The tour is scheduled to stop in 11 more American cities in the next six weeks and will end at the Metlife Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey, on June 16, two days before McCartney's 80th birthday.

McCartney's appearance on the stage will surely be the culmination of musical events for the spring and summer of 2022, as world stars begin to return to live performances after a two-year-long break caused by the Covid-19 pandemic.

McCartney is considered one of the greatest songwriters of the 20th century. His best work was seen while he was collaborating with the late John Lennon in the 1960s for the Beatles. The last time he held concerts was during a 39-day world tour that ended with a sold-out performance in July 2019 at the Dodger Stadium in Los Angeles.

In a statement, while he was announcing his concert, alluding to the Beatles' 1969 hit "Get Back", he said that he wants to keep his promise that they will be back. “I am back!” he said.

While we are eagerly waiting for this tour, we can once more enjoy Peter Jackson’s documentary series "The Beatles: Get Back". The three-part documentary follows John Lennon, Paul McCartney, George Harrison, and Ringo Starr in January 1969 in preparation for their first concert in more than two years. Using several hours of unpublished material, Jackson also shows how the Beatles wrote and recorded 14 new songs for the album in just three weeks. The documentary seeks to demystify the breakup of the famous four and to show their relationship in a brighter light.
