Real reasons for cutting Amber from "Aquaman 2"

Amber Heard's court battle with Johnny Depp does not help her career at all. After becoming a part of the "Justice League" in 2017, and then recording the hit "Aquaman", her career is now stagnant.

Amber is aware of the bad period in her career, and she confirmed that in her testimony in court last week. From the sequel to "Aquaman", which should reach the audience next year, some of its scenes have been dropped.

The main role in this realization is played by Jason Momoa, and Amber was his direct partner. However, according to the representatives of the Warner Bros. studio behind the film, they drastically reduced the scenes with Amber, and they justify the decision by saying that there is no chemistry between her and Jason, even though they play a loving couple. The cut scenes are mostly action, not love, and the whole situation hit Amber hard. According to Fox News, no one announced what would happen to the actress, but she realized this while reading the sequel script.

Many also believe that the studio is just justifying itself for the stated reason and that the release of the scenes is due to a petition by which more than four million people demanded that the actress be expelled from the sequel to "Aquaman". “Men are victims of domestic violence, just like women. This must be recognized and measures must be taken to prevent the famous abuser from being celebrated in the entertainment industry. Do the right thing. Remove Amber Heard from ‘Aquaman 2’”, it is stated, among other things, in the description of the petition.

The petition was launched in 2019 but has now become even more popular due to the lawsuit between Amber and Depp. Heard played the role of Mera in the 2018 film Aquaman. In November 2020, Depp lost his defamation lawsuit in Great Britain against the British tabloid ‘The Sun’ because they called him a "woman beater". In March 2021, Depp's attempt to overturn the decision was rejected.

Heard and Depp met while filming “The Rum Diary” in 2011, and they were married in February 2015. When Heard demanded an injunction because of domestic violence, accusing Depp of abusing her, a breakup ensued.
