Whichever diet you choose, your health comes first, so it is important that you follow certain rules.
Anyone who has decided to deal with excess weight at least once has come across advice that the secret to success lies in eating less and exercising more, which is not true. It’s not true in the sense that it’s necessarily a guarantee of success because you can eat less than usual and still have more than you should, just as you can be more physically active than usual without it still being enough. But eating less and exercising is definitely a good start, and there are a few more rules that every diet will, sooner or later, succeed in.
Don’t skip meals
Skipping meals will not help you lose weight and may even affect your lost weight return. Try to eat five small meals during the day instead of one or two large meals. This way you will not starve and take in excess calories.
Don't forget to count
We don’t mean counting pounds to lower values than calories. Adding calories is a great way to organize your weight loss program. And don’t skip when counting. If you eat a salad, include dressing. Add up the drinks, especially the coffee and milk in it.
Do not dehydrate
Fluid intake during dieting is extremely important. You may find that you are much less hungry if you sip water during the day because often the onset of dehydration manifests as hunger.
Don't forget to exercise
You may lose extra pounds with a diet, but even a lean body is not nice if it is not tight. Exercise for half an hour five times a week.
Don’t eliminate carbs from your diet
Throw out only the bad ones for your line like the ones in pasta. Whole-grain bread and fresh vegetables that also contain them should be on your menu.
Don't starve
Never! It is even life-threatening as it makes you vomit after eating. If you have such problems, seek professional help immediately.
Remember to set goals
You will find it easier to cope with a new diet program if you set a clear goal. Knowing that there is a point you want to reach will make it easier for you to break down any obstacles along the way. You’ll be more motivated if you say to yourself ‘I’m going to lose five pounds’ instead of ‘I’m going to get in shape’.
