Rotation diet is the main hit this spring!

Although the rotational diet is not the newest one, it has become popular again this spring due to its quick results.

When it comes to losing weight, unfortunately, there is no magic solution. Reduced diet and physical activity are the only real ways to get your body in order, and in the multitude of diets, this spring, the so-called rotation diet has stood out, which promises great results in a short time.

It was designed by Dr. Martijn Katan back in 1963, when, thanks to his own diet, he lost as much as 34 kilograms in less than a year, which did not return to him later.

He then wrote a book that became a bestseller in many countries around the world, despite the fact that nutritionists strongly condemn such restrictive diets. Truth be told, before embarking on something like this, it is important to know that this is a very strict regime, and Katan claims that in the first week you can expect to lose up to 2.5 kilograms, about 1.1 kilograms in the second week and again up to 2.3 pounds in the third. In the best case, you lose about half a kilogram a day, but only if the rules are strictly followed.

The emphasis is on a few hours of fasting every day when you are allowed to drink only water, either plain or slightly mineral. Also, during the part of the day when food is not taken, it is not recommended to consume cigarettes, in case you are a smoker, because they also affect the metabolism with their specific chemical composition. The goal is to train the body's functions in that period so that the accumulated fats are used as fuel to perform the necessary functions.

During the first three days of a rotating diet, your daily intake should not exceed 600 calories.

Dinner: 85 g of meat of your choice, a cup of vegetables, a piece of cheese, salad, and fruit.

Intake 900 calories

For the next four days of a rotating diet, you can eat 900 calories a day.

Lunch: 50 g of tuna with a teaspoon of mayonnaise, two slices of wholemeal bread, and half a grapefruit.

In the second week of the rotational diet, in addition to your intake of 1,200 calories, you are allowed to eat fruit up to three times a day, and you can "boost" meals with a teaspoon of butter, margarine, mayonnaise, or salad dressing of your choice. Portions of meat are increased to 150-170 g. When these seven days are over, the rotation will start again, but with a break of one to two days.
