The film about the love story of Elvis and Priscilla
Sofia Coppola's film about Elvis and Priscilla's love story has begun production.
One of the films that were highlighted last year was Baz Luhrmann's masterpiece " Elvis," and the main actor Austin Butler just triumphed at the Golden Globe Awards, winning the honor for his masterfully played role as the famous king of rock and roll.
After Baz Luhrmann, acclaimed director Sofia Coppola began filming another film on the eternal star, this time from the perspective of Priscilla Presley.
The new film will be based on Priscila's 1985 memoir "Elvis and Me," and will depict the iconic couple's love affair. From the time they met in Germany, through their wedding and living together in Graceland, until their divorce, they were inseparable.
The film is called "Priscilla" because it emphasizes her side of the narrative, and she is performed in this film by the young actress Cailee Spaeny, while Elvis is played by Jacob Elordi.
Filming has commenced in Toronto, although no specific debut date has been confirmed.
The world was shocked a few days ago by the death of Lisa Mary Presley, Elvis and Priscilla's daughter, who died of a heart attack at the age of 54, but life goes on, and stories about Elvis, his life, career, and celebrity never stop to inspire film proposals.
