The first trailer for "The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live" is out!
The long-awaited series on AMC and AMC+ arrives on February 25. with the first episode.
After the teaser at the end of November last year, AMC finally released the first official trailer for "The Ones Who Live" series. This is the long-awaited spin-off of "The Living Dead", in which the main characters are the beloved Michonne and Rick.
What can we expect?
Post-apocalyptic scenes and a struggle for power are the central themes of the first official announcement in which Andrew Lincoln and Danai Gurira return to the franchise - the former left the original series in 2018 after almost ten years, and Gurira's character disappeared during the 10th season due to the search for Rick. We saw both in cameo roles in the 2022 finale of "The Walking Dead".
Michonne searches everything possible and impossible to find Rick, and it seems he is being held against his will by the Alliance of the Three. In the trailer, which lasts two minutes, we also see Terry O'Quinn in the role of Major General Beale and Pollyanna McIntosh as Jadis.
The announcement does not reveal other details about the plot. Still, according to the official synopsis, it is a love story between two people in a changed world, despite the fact that they are constantly separated by an unimaginable force. Michonne and Rick find themselves in a completely different world. This one is built on a war against the dead but also the living. Can they find each other again, are they the same as before separating, are they now enemies, lovers, victims, or winners? We should get the answers to the questions in the new series.
“The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live” is executive produced by showrunner Scott M. Gimple, Lincoln, Gurira, Denise Huth and Brian Bockrath.
"The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live" premieres on AMC and AMC+ on February 25, and the rest will be available one per week.
