'The Witcher' Season 2 trailer finally released after two years of break
Netflix has released a new trailer for the second season of 'The Witcher', building on announcements released earlier this year on WitcherCon.
Based on novels by Andrzej Sapkowski, 'The Witcher' follows Geralt (Henry Cavill), a lone monster hunter who struggles to find his place in the world when fate unites him with a powerful sorceress and a young princess as they travel the increasingly unstable Continent together.
The official trailer of the second season announces a lot of excitement. Convinced that Yennefer's (Anya Chalotra) life was lost in the battle of Sodden, Geralt brings Princess Cirilla (Freya Allan) to the safest place he knows - his childhood home Kaer Morhen. While the kings, elves, humans, and demons of the Continent strive to dominate beyond its walls, he must protect the girl from something far more dangerous: the mysterious power she possesses within herself.
The second season of the series will premiere on Friday, December 17, almost exactly two years after the release of the first season. Netflix has previously unveiled titles for seven of the eight upcoming sequels: A Grain of Truth, Kaer Morhen, What Is Lost, Redanian Intelligence, Turn Your Back, Dear Friend, and Voleth Meir. Meanwhile, the title of the finale remains a secret.
