Treat yourself to a warm bath of cinnamon and sea salt

The increasingly cold autumn days invite you to take a warming bath in the warmth of your own home. Only 2-3 natural ingredients from your pantry are enough for that.

A simple bath with cinnamon and sea salt, for which we bring you a recipe, will do wonders for your skin, but also the mood. Cinnamon is most often associated with fragrant apple pies and hot winter teas. But you may be surprised by the fact that this super healthy spice is a great addition to an autumn or winter bath.

Sea salt is an ideal ingredient if you want to reduce stress, soothe sore muscles and give your skin the perfect detox.

Cinnamon - warms and lifts the mood

In ancient cultures, cinnamon was used for the purpose of spiritual purification. This spice cleanses the body of toxins, which is especially useful after illness, and also energizes and lifts the mood. No wonder we use it so much just during the Christmas holidays when we need an extra dose of energy and a smile of joy.

In addition to having an antiseptic and antibacterial effect, cinnamon also has a decongestant effect, which means that it unclogs the nose and sinuses and has a beneficial effect on colds. This spice is a well-known natural disinfectant, ie skin cleanser, and astringent (tightens the skin). Thanks to its antibacterial and antifungal properties, it is a common ingredient in natural soaps. It is an excellent addition to baths because it cleanses the skin of acne and redness, and also helps with eczema and other skin diseases.

Just like ginger, cinnamon stimulates blood circulation to the surface, and thanks to its action, you can feel a pleasant warmth for hours. In addition, it has a relaxing effect, relaxes muscles, and prevents cramps. In this autumn bath, cinnamon is combined with sea salt, which has long been considered healing for the skin.

Sea salt - nourishes the skin with minerals and promotes detox

It has long been known that sea salt has therapeutic and healing properties. It cleans pores and nourishes the skin with an abundance of minerals such as potassium, calcium, sodium, and magnesium. Under the influence of hot water, magnesium and potassium enter the bloodstream and stimulate the elimination of toxins and the establishment of balance in the body.

Thanks to the abundance of minerals, frequent use of a sea salt bath will strengthen your immunity and become more resistant to disease.

Salt has an antibacterial effect and helps retain moisture in the skin. It helps to remove impurities from the skin, which becomes softer after its application and acquires a special glow. Natural sea salt has alkaline properties. Excessive acidity of the body depletes vital organs and draws minerals. It is sea salt that will help restore the necessary minerals.

Thanks to the combination of sea salt and cinnamon, after the bath you will feel relaxed and warmed, your skin will be cleansed and nourished, and your muscles will be relaxed. This bath is great before bed because it will lull you to sleep perfectly.

Cinnamon and sea salt heating bath

Ingredients for the mixture:

  • 3 tablespoons Ceylon cinnamon powder
  • 1 cup natural sea salt

Application:

Fill the tub with warm water and add these mixtures. Relax in the bath for 20-30 minutes. If the bath is intended for your little ones, simply halve the amount of ingredients.

Instead of cinnamon powder, you can add 3-4 cinnamon sticks.

If you don't want a lot of trouble cleaning the tub, you can tie the cinnamon in cotton gauze or similar cloth and put it in a warm bath. When even colder, winter days prevail, add a little ginger powder to the bath, which also has excellent warming properties.

After that bath, you will feel the warmth on your skin for hours.
