Aronia is also known as "black chokeberry" and is considered by many to be the healthiest fruit in the world, as it provides more health benefits than any other super-food. This super-fruit originates from North America, but today it is grown and appreciated all over the world.

In addition to its healing benefits, chokeberry is also known to contain very few calories and fats, but it has an impressive level of minerals and vitamins.

This berry is also a good source of many antioxidant vitamins, such as vitamin C, vitamin A, vitamin E, beta-carotene, and folate; and minerals such as potassium, iron, and manganese. 100 g of fresh chokeberry contains about 35% of the recommended daily intake of vitamin C.
