Bera, a beautiful land of leopards

India is by far the most exotic and unusual country in the world, which shocks tourists from the West with its smells, cruelty, beauty, and flavors. Tourists' stay in India forever changes their awareness of the meaning of life and death. Tourists fall in love with India or are terribly disappointed because it is a country of contrasts in which it is impossible not to feel catharsis at every step. To enjoy India, free your thoughts from prejudices, and open your soul and heart to new adventures. Before traveling you should know the basics about India, as well as what you need to do before the trip.

Today, we are talking about a very interesting place in India. Nearly 100 wild cats live in and around Bera, but no attacks on humans have been reported in the last hundred years.

Bera, a small town in the Indian state of Rajasthan, is known for being the only place on Earth where humans and leopards live in perfect harmony. India is one of the most densely populated countries on Earth, and as humanity continues to encroach on still uninhabited forests and mountains, conflicts between leopards and humans are inevitable. But there is one place where humans and leopards have supposedly lived in peace and harmony for at least a century. Known as the "land of leopards", the city of Bera is said to be inhabited by the most leopards on the planet.

Reportedly, close to 100 leopards live in Bera and its surroundings, but in the last hundred years, no attacks on people have been recorded here. Even when the locals started organizing safaris to spot leopards in the area for tourists, the number of leopard attacks remained at zero.

Leopards are part of everyday life in Bera, so these big cats can be seen sitting on the rocks in the middle of the village or even walking the streets. Many tourists are shocked to see leopards roaming freely around the village temple, even as the priest performs his daily rituals. Is Bera's reputation a bit exaggerated for marketing purposes? Probably, but it certainly made it a place where more and more tourists flock every year due to the unusual connection between man and wild cats.
