These healthy tortillas totally change everything. Who knew that you could get the softest, most flexible, and most delicious tortillas only from flaxseed and water? In addition, they are healthy, a great source of vegan omega-3, and they are also an easy idea for lunch. Mix them by adding spices as desired. To emphasize, the recipe is: vegan, without refined sugar, without gluten and oil.
Recipe for five tortillas:
One cup of flaxseed
One cup of water
Option:
One-quarter teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of spices of your choice (such as curry powder, garlic powder, or cumin)
Preparation:
Put flaxseed in a food processor and grind it until it is fine and like flour - or simply buy already ground seeds. Boil water in a pot and remove from the heat (if you use spices in water). Pour ground flaxseed and mix well. The dough should begin to form in 1-3 minutes. Add a little more ground flaxseed if the dough is too wet. Place the dough between two pieces of baking paper and roll out the dough to two or three mm thick with a rolling pin. Use a cookie cutter or pot lid to cut a circle. This mixture can make five tortillas, but it all depends on the size you want.
Flaxseed is widely used as a medicine, so it helps with digestive problems, is used for the face and generally makes the skin cleaner, lowers cholesterol, reduces excessive sugar cravings, balances hormones, and is even useful in the fight against cancer, and these are just some of the benefits you get from consuming flax.
