How often do married couples have sex?

A stressful and hectic lifestyle inevitably leaves various consequences. One of them is the drastic drop in the frequency of sexual relations between married couples around the world. It is believed that the key culprit for this is precisely the development of technology and the emergence of smart devices. In addition, people today are getting married later than they used to, and as the average age of marriage rises, the average person enters marriage with more years of inconsistent sexual activity.

According to a recent survey, it follows that the average married person has sex about once a week. However, there is reason to believe that this information is not correct. Namely, the number of condoms sold does not correspond to the number of sexual acts in which people report using condoms.

Either way, there's nothing unusual about wondering whether or not you're having enough sex, especially in a culture that's so obsessed with it. However, it should be noted that if you are happily married and both of you are happy with sex only once a month, that is completely fine. There are many couples like you! However, it would be best to clear up with yourself first if you really want to have more sex or if you are worried that your relationship is not sexual enough even though you are happy... If deep down you want to have more sex and you feel that you are not sexually satisfied, you should settle with your spouse outside the bedroom.

If you are sexually satisfied but worry that your husband is not, ask him that question directly. Maybe there are things he would like to change. Maybe he would like you to initiate more or be more dominant during the sexual act. He might like to try new poses. On the other hand, maybe your husband is completely satisfied with your sex life, and your worries are unfounded. So, the matter is very individual, but an open conversation is certainly the best way to a healthy and successful married and sexual life.
