NEVER heat these foods in the microwave

When you cook a piece of raw chicken in the microwave, the chances of even and thorough cooking are very small, which makes it a potential danger of bacterial contamination.

NEVER heat these foods in the microwave

This invention originated in the 1940s, and the microwave is one of the most important household appliances in every household. Although it is intended for heating food and fast cooking, there are certain foods that you should never heat in it.

Boiled eggs

When you heat boiled eggs in the microwave, steam accumulates from water molecules, causing an increase in pressure. Because eggs have a thin membrane and shell, they are not able to withstand all that pressure, which can lead to the explosion of the egg itself in the microwave or during the first bite.

Carrots

Although carrots can be cooked and heated in the microwave, raw carrots, especially those with peel, can be potentially dangerous. If they are not washed properly and there are traces of dirt, minerals from the soil can cause sparks in the microwave. If it happens all the time, it can seriously damage your microwave.

Processed meat

For starters, processed meat is not the healthiest food because it contains large amounts of salts, additives, chemicals, and preservatives. When you add microwave radiation to that, cholesterol levels can rise, which can lead to heart problems. The safest way to heat is on the grill or stove top.

Chili peppers

Chili peppers, especially hot peppers, contain high levels of capsaicin, which can be quite flammable. When capsaicin is exposed to electromagnetic waves in the microwave, it begins to evaporate and can ignite! Fire and smoke that will be released from the microwave can cause skin irritation and burning.

Chicken

Chicken is the main culprit for the spread of salmonella, especially when it is not cooked properly! When you cook a piece of raw chicken in the microwave, the chances of even and thorough cooking are very small, which makes it a potential danger of bacterial contamination. The same can be said for other pieces of raw meat. It is best to cook the meat thoroughly, on a direct fire, in a pan, on a grill, or in the oven.

Tomato and tomato sauce

Like boiled eggs, tomatoes can cause a big mess when they spend too much time in the microwave. Due to the liquid content in the fresh tomato and pasta sauce, the accumulation of pressure causes bubbles to form that pop out of the liquid, leaving the microwave covered with red spots.
