British tabloids write that the police knocked on the door of a villa in California in the middle of the night, where the Duke and Duchess of Sussex live, in order to personally inform him that Prince Philip has passed away.
At first, the employees of the American embassy in London tried to reach him by phone, but they did not manage to wake him up, considering that it was three o'clock in the morning according to the American time.
