The iPhone will adopt USB-C next year

After many years, Apple will replace the Lightning port on iPhones beginning next year, and its replacement will be none other than the USB-C industry standard. Ming-Chi Kuo, a well-known analyst of the Cupertino brand, suggests as much, according to Mac Rumors.

Specifically, USB-C will be the new port of the iPhone 15, or, rather, the iPhone 15, which will be available for purchase in the second half of 2023. If that is the case, the iPad will most likely follow suit, despite all of this is still the prediction of an analyst… who earlier argued the opposite.

As a result, Kuo came to defend and anticipate Apple's use of Lightning in the "foreseeable future," arguing that ditching it would affect the company's business surrounding MiFi devices. Furthermore, there is no waterproof specification for USB Type-C.

However, the adoption of USB-C would considerably boost the iPhone's transfer and charging rates, in addition to ensuring compatibility, which is an advantage over the existing model worth considering, Kuo now says, who is currently accompanying him and it is nothing new.

A few weeks ago, he learned of the new impetus that the European Union intends to offer to ensure the universalization of USB-C, and as has long been known, they do not support Apple.

Quite the opposite, in fact. If the predictions come true, Apple will be forced to offer USB-C + compatibility if it wants to continue selling in the community area.

In summary, as much as Kuo contradicts himself, reality backs him up, as do Apple's moves with the iPad, so it would not be an unexpected occurrence, but rather a long-awaited one.

Predictions have always been more along the lines of the dead before simple, that is before USB-C becomes completely wireless, but taller towers have fallen.
