NEW: "Avatar: The Way of Water" arrives on December 16!

The sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time, "Avatar: The Way of Water" is near. Fans were eagerly waiting for years to return to Pandora and continue the adventure with Jake and Neytiri. But the question is: did too much time pass since the first film?  Many doubt that success from the previous part can be repeated even though the new film also has certain technical advances, but we won't have to wait much longer to see if they are right. But on the other hand, judging by the viewership of the trailer which already gathered more than 42 million views, success is guaranteed.

Anyway, 20th Century Studios released the final trailer for the film. This trailer reveals most of the plot, so we warn those who don't want to know too much before diving into the film. The trailer is, as expected, beautiful. It doesn't lack beautiful scenes, action, family moments, or a hint of romance.

The plot follows the story of the Sully family. Ever since he decided to permanently transfer human consciousness into his Avatar body and become the new leader of the Na'vi people, Jake Sully lives with his family on Pandora. He and Neytiri started a family and had children. The colonizing forces have returned to Pandora in a revival of the original quest, forcing Jake and Neytiri to leave their home, exploring the previously unknown parts of Pandora where they will meet the Metkayine people, a clan of natives who live surrounded by the sea.

The film's returning cast includes Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Joel David Moore, Dileep Rao, Stephen Lang, Matt Gerald and Sigourney Weaver. New faces that we will see for the first time in the second film are Kate Winslet as the fearless warrior Ronal - one of the leaders of the Metkayina clan, Cliff Curtis as Tonowari, Edie Falco as General Ardmore, Michelle Yeoh as Dr. Karina Mogue, Vin Diesel, Jemaine Clement as Dr. Ian Garvin and Oona Chaplin with plenty of young actors.

Cameron, who is known for ambitious projects, took a big bite this time. The production budget for the film was reportedly around $250 million, according to Variety. However, the director did not confirm those claims for now. He stated that the film was "damn expensive". The film is also quite long. It lasts as long as three hours and ten minutes. "Avatar: The Way of Water"  arrives in theaters on December 16 .
